It Finally Feels Like Spring – at the End of April

We got around half an inch of rain last night, so our rain totals for the month stand at 1.5 inches – a woeful start to the season, but better than nothing! It finally feels like spring, and despite being mostly sequestered inside in front the computer (I am finishing up a wonderful but demanding project), I rejoice in the cooler temperatures and the wet grass. In that vein, since I must continue to work feverishly and meet my deadline, here are some photos of spring fieldwork past. Most of the fieldwork picture took place in Livingston County, Kentucky.

Great photos. Having done some cedar shingling myself, I was struck by the diamond shaped shingling work. Beautiful. Wonder if anyone does that these days.
